Catching For a Cause fishing fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to gain relationships, support our community and provide guests an opportunity to enjoy a little of what Alaska has to offer.
Below are details of the event to help ensure everyone is setup and ready.

FLYING TO KENAI
When booking airfare, you will be stopping in Anchorage with a connecting flight (30 min airtime) to Kenai Municipal Airport. Grant Aviation and Kenai aviation are carrier options into the Kenai Airport.
Travel Kenai Airport to the Lodge-The Cannery Lodge provides a shuttle service from Kenai airport (10 min drive) and can be arranged by emailing.
Rental cars are available at Kenai Airport if desired but will not be necessary to participate in this event (recommended to book in advance if you are wanting to rent a car). Cab services and Uber/Lyft are available, but not reliable way of transportation in this area. Vans are arranged for event transportation to and from fishing events.
DRIVING TO KENAI:
Renting a car in Anchorage and driving to Kenai is an option as well (~up to a 3-4 hour drive, MAP)

LODGING-The Cannery Lodge
2101 Bowpicker Lane, Kenai AK 99611
Lodging is provided by the Cannery Lodge with check in available at 7/30 (Tuesday) and check out 8/2 (Friday) by 11:00AM (Check out-Leave keys in your room).
The cost of lodging is included in the event and reservation made on your behalf; the reservation is under your name and company. Your room keys are available for pick up at the cannery club upon your arrival. The cannery club will be opened up at 4pm each afternoon.
Lodge entrance is all the way down Bowpicker lane and will be off to the right. Driving directions on phone apps sometimes will tell you different).
FISHING LICENSE
2024 Alaska fishing licenses are required and if requested during registration will be pre ordered for you and placed in your room before your arrival.
Licenses can also be purchased through the Alaska Fish and Game phone app. A 3-day license is $30 and if bought through the ADFG app no printout is needed, license is shown via app and can be used as proof if asked by ADFG (Alaska Department of Fish and Game)
GUIDED FISHING
All fishing is planned to be shore based with river boats for transportation. Fishing rods/tackle will be provided by the guide. Waders are required for this event, they can be purchased through the event registration if desired. Drinks/snacks/Lunch are provided.
Tips for fishing guides and pilots are accepted, but not necessary. Gratuities have been considered and included in each package.
SHIPPING FISH
Fish processing and shipping is included with your registration package. “Custom Seafoods” will equally divide up all fish caught, filet, vacuum pack, freeze, box up and overnight ship to your address of choice.

SILENT AUCTION
We have received some local donations of lodging and fishing trips to raise money for your local charities. Please consider bringing an item and contributing to our silent auction event. Auction items will be located in the cannery lodge “Cannery Club” building. Bid sheets will be open at the start of the event and conclude on Thursday night. Processing of credit cards for auction winners can be completed at event.
